Hi, I'm Emily — the founder and the designer behind Julius Design Co. At its heart, Julius Design Co. is about more than designing spaces - it is about transforming the way people live within them. Every project is approached with equal parts expertise and empathy, blending architectural structure, layered materials, rich textures, and personal storytelling to create environments that feel deeply lived-in and distinctly individual. The result is a collection of spaces that are warm yet refined, elevated yet approachable — spaces that support, inspire, and ultimately feel like home.
This work is personal and that's exactly how I treat it. I bring my whole self to every project — including my faith, which means I lead with patience, empathy, and honesty above everything else. I want you to feel heard. I want you to feel supported. And I want you to trust that the person managing your project genuinely cares how it turns out.

Julius Design Co. was built on the belief that great design begins long before the first material is selected or the first wall is drawn. Inspired by my grandfather, Julius - a gifted draftsman whose work helped shape ideas into reality - Julius Design Co. is rooted in the quiet power of vision, precision, and craftsmanship. His legacy serves as a reminder that every meaningful space begins as a possibility. Today, that same spirit lives on through a design process that balances thoughtful planning with deep intuition, creating interiors that feel as intentional as they are beautiful.
It All Started With Someone Who Refused to Think Small
I decided to return to school for Interior Design and landed my first internship with HGTV later that year. There, I was featured on “Married to Real Estate” Season 3 as a design assistant on their design team.
2023
I lost my grandfather and I had a revelation: I needed to either wake up and follow my true calling in life or miss out on the gifts I’d been given. As an ode to him, I named my company after him.
2022
Before turning my passion into a career, I attended college in Florida, majoring in Psychology and Criminology and I met my amazing husband. For 12 years, I was a stay-at-home mother to 3 kids while successfully running another business.

Childhood
I grew up in a home that was deeply creative and infused with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. As a child, my parents dabbled in buying, designing, and flipping homes. During elementary school, I loved taking printer paper and designing 3D models of homes. I would meticulously plan the rooms, complete with functional doors and windows.
A nationally known Interior Designer scooped me up as her Design Assistant then quickly promoted to Junior Designer. From there, I founded my own design firm, Julius Design Co.

Most designers hand you a mood board and show up when it's done. We manage every detail in between — contractor calls, procurement, site visits, problems you'll never even know happened.
Solving How You Feel Inside a Room
For residential clients, that means a space you genuinely want to come home to. For commercial clients, it means a designed environment that draws your ideal customer in and keeps them there — better flow, better lighting, better results.
I used to design for what I thought other people wanted. Neutral. Safe. Crowd-pleasing. The moment I started showing up with my actual point of view — bold materials, moody elements, unexpected pattern mixing — everything changed. That confidence is what I now bring to every single project.
